The Buick is going forward.
Here I tried some inner structure for the rear pillar. After I get the sheet metal finished I can weld them in place and cover them with more sheet metal :D

I also shrunk the passager side vent window. Looks like it would work!

Another few hours with the drivers side pillar
Pretty good, just a few spots to weld

Heres a start of a helmet for my brothers boy.

Heres some older stuff:
I´ve done many of these, sinking the tacho in to the tank.

It´s easy to fix a dented tank if Youcan access it from the bottom
More mods:
Or a fender for Harley.

Ok, thats about enough planishing the roof.
Next the pillars, more hammering

I had to move the car outside to get a good look. I like it!
High´n´low :/

The parts of the pillar are welded torgether and then the seam is opened with thin grinder wheel.
The roof is about 50mm longer
I made the piece so I can weld it with TIG. Then I don´t have to grind as much as with MIG weld. Less weld -> less grinding -> less heat, suits me ;)
The filler pieces for the b-pillar.  The cavity is for leadeing the roof panel to pillar.
The piece was little lower before the welding (and after :/ )
Welded! Looks worse than it is. My goal is to finish the job (almost) with out filler.
A little more massaging needed..
Eyeballing with paint. I used 3 different spray paint to get the color near enough.

Buick

So the work with Buick starts! The windshield was in really bad shape, and I didn´t want to replace it  "for no reason" so I just had to chop the roof :D
Here it is, just arrived from CA about a year ago.
A little customizing for start, 1959 Caddy grille and  1968 Imperial head light bezels.
The engine bay after some small service. The engine would lookm better with the original air cleaner.
Summer is almost over, ready for some more work!
On with the show! Altough there aer articles about chopping a Riviera in the net and magazines, there is nothing about the innner structure of the b- pilar. Finally I just cut everything off!
Cut here!
And here, but maybe not that much!
A-pilar reinforcement.I drilled the welds and bent the piece out of the way
Roof center marked.
Convertible! Reinforcements inside, just to make sure everything stays square.
Back of the roof
Took a few inches off the a-pillars. Too much..?
 A little photoshopping, looks good!
Back window leaned forward
Details.

A-pillars had to be leaned inwards.

A little relief for the leaning of the back window
Looks OK!
Easy access Riviera doors. I guess I´m going to lenghten the door windows because the went window is going to be smaller.
